2.) How do I become a member of GetStudentsJapan.com?
Simply register through the website for whichever service you would like to participate in.
3.) Do I need to live in Japan to become a member of GetStudentsJapan.com?
Yes, you do.
4.) Can GetStudentsJapan.com sponsor my visa?
As registered members of this service are not paid employees of GetStudentsJapan.com, visa sponsorship is not available.
5.) How often should I update my profile?
You should update your profile as often as possible with any information changes you deem necessary. At the very least, this should be done every 3-4 months.
6.) Is my member login the same as my e-mail address?
Yes, it is.
7.) What should I do if my e-mail address changes?
By logging into the site, you will see your account profile. At any point, you can edit your e-mail by choosing the "Change E-mail Address" option. When updated, a verification e-mail will be sent to your new e-mail address.
8.) How do I check/edit my profile?
By logging into the site, you will see your account profile. You can edit your profile at any point by choosing the "Profile Edit" option.
9.) I am having trouble uploading my photos. What should I do?
Simply e-mail your photos to GetStudentsJapan.com with your first and last name, e-mail address and password and we will post your photos for you.
10.) I am not currently looking for new students/work but would like to remain a member of GetStudentsJapan.com. What should I do?
By logging into the site you will see your account profile. At any point, you can de-activate any or all services on your profile by choosing the "Profile De-Activate" option. You can return and re-active your profile at any time. *NOTE* If you do not login to your profile in over 12 months, it will be automatically deleted from the site.
11.) I have not logged into my profile in a while and now I cannot seem to do so. Why?
If a user has not accessed their account in over 12 months, it will automatically be deleted from the system. If there is such an occurrence, simply re-register.
12.) I forgot my password. What should I do?
In the login box on the upper right side of the page, there is a “Forgot your Password?” option. Click on it and by entering your e-mail address, the password associated with your account will be mailed to that e-mail address immediately.
13.) I am moving away from Japan or wish to cancel my membership at GetStudentsJapan.com. What should I do?
By logging into the site, you will see your account profile. At any point, you can delete your account by choosing the "Profile Delete" option.
